The movie is set in Chicago where a high school senior, Ferris Bueller, acts sick in order to stay home. Throughout the movie, Ferris frequently breaks the fourth wall and gives advice to the audience. Using a computer, he changes the school's records to say that he was gone only two days rather than nine. Ferris convinces his friend, Cameron Frye, to tell the administration that his girlfriend, Sloane Peterson's grandmother died in order to release them as well.
