Dworkin, hospitals put alternative medical clinics among their campuses because many marketing surveys reveal very intense public interest in the act, that it is not because medical science demands to have them. Like stated earlier, there are many forms of alternative medicine. Acupuncture is one of the most commonly used but there are also many forms of acupuncture, 6 to be exact. Many of these come from an ancient cultural background such as Japanese medical treatments for illness. In the Acupuncture Overview provided by The University of Maryland Medical Center, the article states that acupuncture is a helpful part of a treatment plan for many illnesses. Other people believe this is just a bunch of bogus and think that therapy can in no way save a life. In a study, four women were facing extreme sickness and were feared to be disabled or worse. After rigorous therapy and alternative medicinal treatments, these women were healthier than before. One of these ladies had ovarian cancer, another woman had scoliosis. When they were finished with their alternative medicinal treatments they were even healthier. The women were focused and more determined than before. After walking out on advice from doctors and after a multitude of surgeries, it is no wonder they decided to say no to any more conventional medicinal
