There are several characters in the playwright all though they do share a fence they also have their own personal fence. The character with the most fences is Troy. Gabriel was living with Troy and Rose after he was injuried in the war, but now he lives with a woman down the street that he pays rent to. As was stated previously Gabriel is only one of Troy’s fences. He has fences with his children Lyon and Cory. Lyons is his oldest son. He comes over on Fridays which happens to be Troy’s pay day. Lyons would ask for a loan. Lyons always paid Troy the loan back. Lyons didn’t want his dad to look at him as if he is worthless. Lyons also had trouble with his family and lost his wife in a divorce. Lyons was a gambler. Cory, Troy’s and Rose’s his fence is with his dad because he will not allow him to play college football and will not meet with the recruiter as cory asked him but troy refused because they denied him in baseball . As for Rose Cory is a fence for her as well but in a different way because he is the fence between Rose and Troy . Troy has fences other than with the people in his family. He has a fences with his besr friend bono because bono knows were he goes when he tells rose he is goinge to the bar .
