Integration of Feminist Therapy and Christianity Feminist Therapy in Psychology is the underdog theory that focuses on minorities as well as women, challenging that their individual problems are based on societies oppressions of all minorities. Biblical principles, according to my interpretation, say that woman was made from man to be by his side, equipping them for different tasks, but with the same goal to honor God, neither man nor woman being superior to the other (Zondervan,1999, P.9). With Integration of this therapy and Christianity we can understand how Biblical principles align with key concepts of feminist therapy and what aspects differ from Biblical principles.

The next verse in Colossians is “Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them” (NIV). These verses are arguing both male and female have a responsibility to treat each other fairly and to “love, to obey, and encourage, [and] to work hard” contradictory to some beliefs that the Bible is elevating men to a superior role (Zondervan, 1998, P. 2166). The Old Testament has a lot of verses that seem to elevate men to a more important role, but there are other instances such as God appointing a woman, Deborah, as a judge which was a powerful position. In my interpretation, taking in to account the context and culture of biblical principles, both men and woman are valued and important to God, both with important tasks and abilities. With the integration of Biblical principles and feminism therapy, woman can fight oppression they have in our society and learn to get their dignity and strength and worth from God, knowing that to God women are equal with men.
Jesus was commonly found among the woman and children showing them kindness and allowing them to labor side by side with Him in the gospel. He allowed woman to do important tasks and hold leadership roles as well, and showed up to the women first after His
