Feminism sounds like a big, strong word, sometimes scary word. It has a powerful effect on among women, as well as among men.
Curently, we are in what it called "the fourth wave feminism" although for some people it is stilll unclear what is the point of the movement and how much damage or good it brings.
Can feminism be harmful? No, the idea behind the movement is pretty clear and it should give women of all age equal rights to education and employment. However, it can be used in the wrong way, just like any other movement that lasted so long.

But it stops there. The reality is that we still have less women as CEOs than men, women are still paid less which has been discussed in Hollywood circles for years now.
But Hollywood women are in much better position than a non famous person. Women in general are still the weak sex, with less power over their own bodies and sexuality, so the whole problem goes deeper and deeper if you look at statisics of women who had to leave their homes because they were victims of domestic abuse or were rejected by their parents/partners for having an abourtion.
Of course, you cannot really talk about feminism in the USA without mentioninng the electioon year 2016. From a feminist aspect, it is not about who won, but why were some people so affraid of having a woman as president. We live in patriarchal society, so that infamous F word, feminism, can trigger some really nasty discussions. Was Hilary Clinton a solution? No, since she only speaks to certain group of women: white and privilled. Gender-specific roles are more present among majorities and among families with low income. A woman has to work, take care of the children and do all the house works. What makes thing worse is that sometimes this woman does not have support of other women around her. So, she becames a prisoner of her own
