Spires (2006) argues that the Twilight writer at times has an amateur writing, this is due to the lack of experience. Moreover, Cox (2010) claims that Twilight portrays Bella as deceptive. Even though Meyer defends that Bella is an example of feminism, Cox disagrees by saying that Bella frequently runs to Edward every time she is in trouble, instead of defending herself. Furthermore, as Bella is madly in love she decides to give up on her human life to become closer to Edward. Cox further his point by claiming that an example of Bella’s submissive character is the fact that she lets Jacob and Edward decide what it is the best for her future instead of deciding for herself. On the other hand, Twilight has interesting plot as the relationship between a human and a supernatural creature is a fascinating way of capturing teenagers and adults
