Feminism by definition is “the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.” Many of the general public have uninformed meanings of feminism. Feminism is in no way the “superiority of one sex over the other”, feminism is the strive for equality. In our country there is a lack of knowledge on the subject of equality of the sexes, leading to a world of inequality, and struggle for women. Feminism however, is not Due to the lack of knowledge on feminism, our society has made many stereotypes of feminists including that feminists are “men haters” and that feminists also believe “women are superior to men.” This statement however far it may spread defies the definition of feminism, it is a statement of misandry.
