I am a proud, card holding member of the feminist community. I bet you are too, as is your nana, mom, sister, the crazy cat lady down the street and even your brother, uncle, and dad. You (and they) may deny it, but by definition, you probably are. Feminism, which is often equated with hairy armpits, bra burning and man-hating, is actually the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. In a 2013 YouGov poll, 82% of participants stated that they believed men and women should have equal political, economic and social equality, yet only 20% identified as feminists. Wait what?
