According to Feminism (June, 2007, p.5), feminism is “a recognition of an imbalance of power between the sexes, with women in a subordinate role to men”. It is a term that women fight for their right. From global aspect, feminism was founded in later 18 centuries during and after the French revolution. Since that time, the world began to realize the raising power of women and their equal power. Women show their power by abandon beauty election, equal women right and so on. It was held in Beijing in 1993. It was the first time ever, it gives the opportunity to legalize NGOs in China and provided a framework of how to make China a better place for feminism (Chinesefeminism, 2010). During the meeting, people began to format what is real feminism and how to create a Chinese feminism environment. The feminism they talked about divided the real feminism from the “politics feminism” during the economic reform and built a much bright future for feminism. After the meeting, most feminism divided into two parts: one is focus on feminism education and second one is enforce laws of feminism. With the combination of education and activities, feminism force grow really fast in the following years. However, there are still a long way to get female away from “politics feminism”. During an interview with my friend Quiyang who study history major, I ask him about how do you see the Chinese feminism? He points out that there is huge improvement on feminism after the Chinese economic reform. Before the economic reform, women were more like a product for men. But now, they are independent individual. They have the equal right with men (Quiyang, 2016). There is no question that there has been a huge improvement on feminism in China. But the movement of feminism shall not be stopped. In the society, we still can discover that there are inequality in the payments and job opportunity; some of the jobs still require men to work instead of women.
