Some people might argue that the patriarchy doesn’t exist, but been have always been the dominant ever since women’s jobs were to stay at home and men were supposed to gather and hunt ever since then men have always been in a higher power than women and still are today. Whether it’s jobs or politics women have always been left behind trying to catch up. The patriarchy hurts everyone by dismissing male victims of rape and abuse. Some people view male victims as weak or vulnerable but that’s not the case. There are less male clinics than female clinics. More ads to stop domestic violence towards women but a sliver of ads for men. Victims shouldn’t be diminished and told that they weren 't raped or attacked their attack and pain should be acknowledged. It also hurts people by only letting men have the top positions, just look at jobs we all know that women make less but women also only make up to 5% of CEOS are women. Men always dominate the job market whether it be the video game industry or engineering. Making it harder for women to advance their career. Lastly it hurts by making men think that doing a certain thing will emasculate them or make them seem “gay”. Nothing can make a guy seem gay unless they do something literally gay like kiss another man and still they could be bisexual.
