Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is a show that is worth watching because message was good, the atmosphere/tone was appropriate, and the plot was logical. It wasn’t the greatest act to watch, however there are some elements that make this show worth the watch. This show was about our President Andrew Jackson’s history, but told in a punk rock/rock and roll theme. Even though the theme is incredibly unorthodox, the theme is something the audience must get used to in order to see the appeal of the style of the show. The play was told through the narration of a History Professor that, in the beginning, seemed infatuated with Andrew Jackson.…

Here she parrots the title of her sonnet and says to the man that she wishes she had meant all of the sweet nothings passed between them, the “words [she] flung in jest.” As if to prove to him that she is being serious in her words now, she further escalates her language in the subsequent lines: “And lifted honest eyes for you to see, And caught your hand against my cheek and breast” (3-4). Millay is boldly acknowledging her sexual relationship with the man and that she wishes she had “caught [his] hand.” By this she means that she wishes she could have returned his affections and savored the intimacy between them, that she understands the truth of her feelings now looking back with “honest eyes” she wishes she had had then.…

During my readings of various female road narratives, I noticed that murder recurred throughout the texts as a catalyst for change the protagonists use to their advantages. The protagonists in Thelma & Louise and Arya in Game of Thrones all use murder to flee existing structures which seek to wrongfully punish them. The murders they carry out also disassociate them from the typical depiction of women during their respective time periods, as well as empowers them to go on their own adventures they would have been incapable of going on had the murders not taken place. The titular protagonists of Thelma & Louise and Arya in Game of Thrones all experience or perform murder, which sets them on their respective journeys.…
