Feeding The Homelessness Analysis

Decent Essays
As William Shakespeare once said, “How far that little candle throws his beams! So shine a good deed in a naughty world.” I agree with Shakespeare even the littlest of work, makes a big difference. You could volunteer, pick up trash, or vene help out the new kid at school. As I said before even the littlest things can have a big impact. Everyone can make a difference by volunteering for the homeless. Feeding the homeless is good because you can help them in everyday life and sometimes the homeless people need encouragement to get a job, you can do that by volunteering and make a difference. Another way you can help your community or someone is by picking up trash. Picking up trash is good for your community and gets the streets cleaner.

A time in my life that has abundantly affected the way I see myself, community and world is when I volunteered at a soup kitchen or a program known as 'Bread of Life'. I am greatly honored to be one of the selected students who are being considered for the Spring induction of National Honor Society. As a current eleventh grade student, I believe that I have exceeded in demonstrating all four qualities of the National Honor Society. With my previous experience in the National Junior Honor Society, I have bestowed the ideals to my community as of the beginning of my middle school career. This has led me to take pride in the community around me and help create a greater society with the foundation that the National Junior Honor Society has introduced to me. The quality of Service is an ideal that I can directly relate to through personal experience, therefore creating significance in my life.…

By chance I was born into a family that has been, for the majority of the time, without financial burdens. I have been able to live in a house, go to bed with a full stomach, and get an education of choice. To the majority of people this sounds like a normal life, but for others it will continue to be a dream. Some students in our community are living in shelters, eating the two meals that are provided by their schools; and that is only if they are able to attend school. By volunteering I am able to give new opportunities to those who need them, whether it is working in a soup kitchen/food drive, helping to build homes for those who have lost their own, or tutoring after school.…

We spent a whole day at my school doing simple tasks such as garden cleaning, moving old furniture, covering graffiti, repainting old walls and stairwells. In the end, volunteering had a huge impact not only on me but also the community around me. It enabled me to connect with my community and make my school a better place. I realized that helping out with the simplest and smallest tasks can make a drastic difference in society. If we were to lose physical space, people would surrender their desire to obtain public good.…

Can boredom be destructive? In some cases, it could lead to bad decisions. Also, if you're bored, you could be doing something productive. The message that is sent out in the story that, even when there are hundreds of people or animals to help, one person can make a difference, even if they only can only reach a few people, it's better than looking at it as a lost cause and not helping anyone. In life we face these situations daily, such as when you see some student getting picked on, should you try to help them out? Or just assume that you can't change anything because there are too many people picking on him? Obviously it is best to temporarily help him out, and the find a way to create a permanent change so he is no longer picked on. Somethings I can do to help the poor and vulnerable in society, is to be a good christian and practise christian morels.…

Keeping your school clean is the most important things to do because you're representing your school and how you are as a person. In the classroom, I make sure all the supplies I used are put away where they belong, fix the desk if necessary and throw away trash. If any student needs help with homework or any other need I will be kind and help them out the best I can.…

Volunteering at the homeless shelter is one of my favorite things to do. A few weeks ago, on a serene Saturday morning, my family and I volunteered at Loaves and Fishes. It was special to see just the sheer amount of people who had come out to volunteer on that Saturday. If you think about, they could’ve been doing anything on that Saturday morning. Yet, they decided to help give back to their community.…

There are many different ways in order to give back to the community. A few of these ways include money, time and attitude. Money is, of course, essential to living, therefore a huge amount of money would definitely be helpful but not always necessary. One person does not need to give thousands of dollars to make a difference because someone else can give one dollar and still impact the community. It should be an effort from everyone in the community to give back that way one person doesn 't have to give everything.…

An elderly woman who got to take part in a high school community service project states, “Many think that volunteering is all about what you give. But what catches you by surprise is how much you receive in return.” This demonstrates why many people do not feel that they should give back because they do not believe the benefits that they can get from it as well. Consequently, when creating that feeling of happiness and satisfaction in someone else’s life, it comes back to the person creating it. Volunteering to help someone get tutored, help the handicapped, involve themselves with a program like Meals on Wheels, certain environmental work, etc., not only does one gain from that, but one’s community has been helped because of them.…
