Feed Book Report

The book Feed was mainly a narrative about a boy named Titus. In the beginning of the book Titus seemed bored with everything, until he met a girl named Violet. Violet was a girl that was homeschooled for her entire life and she finally just wanted to live a normal life. Violet and Titus begin to have a relationship together and go on adventure and they tried to experiment with the feed where the feed cannot profile a person based on their likings. During this time Violet slowly deteriorates because her feed was given to her late and in the end she dies. The book Feed is similar in our world today in where people are always on some type of technology everyday where it is a lifestyle. The difference is that in the world of Feed seems that the feed, the computer in their head, is somewhat controlling them and causing humanity to go down. …show more content…
For example, in our daily lives we usually just say, “Oh, I don’t know this; I might as well google it.” We would always rely on the internet to find the answer for us or to help us find a way to get an answer to what we want. In the book Feed, page 47 it says, “ It was all da da da, this big educational thing, da da da, your child will have the advantage, encyclopedias at their fingertips closer than their fingertips, etc. That’s one of the great things about the feed-that you can be supersmart without ever working.” This comparison is very similar because in the world now, we basically always have a encyclopedia at our fingertips, it is our phone. And also it is the same because we barely have to work to find information anymore, we just need to type some keywords and let the search engine do the rest.
