Fee And Peter Chee: Passage Analysis

I chose the passage that starts at the end of page 8 and 9. In this passage, Fee realizes he is in love with peter. He describes a carpool ride home from choir practice, other boys are noisy and he tries to read to keep himself from staring at Peter. However, instead of reading, Fee thinks of all the memories he has of Peter. Chee uses the onomatopoeia “cluck” to describe the other boys in the car, he say’s “they cluck and shove at each other, ask loud questions about things that have just happens.” This description gives the readers a strong mental picture of the chaotic car in which Fee is trying to read. This chaos may be real, however, the car may feel more chaotic to Fee as his mind spins thinking about Peter. Chee describes the way
