The Federalists wanted the power to be controlled by the wealthy. One point that they make is that the rich families could make better decisions than common folk. Most commoners didn’t have the money to go to good schools like the wealthy did. They knew how to do things in a way that could help people. Their education most likely gave them more new ideas than most commoners could think of. Another point is that the rich had more information about what the government is doing. The rich had lots of connections to get information. The rich unlike some commoners didn’t get their information from town gossip. They normally had more accurate and more up to date news. “George Washington normally sided with Alexander Hamilton.” Alexander Hamilton was a big Federalist supporter which meant that Washington most likely sided with this idea. The Federalists have good reasons but the Democratic-Republicans may have a better idea.

We let almost everyone have a chance to vote. Everyone today has some kind of political power. All citizens of the United States over the age of 18 can have a say in politics. Our views are slightly different than the Democratic-Republicans because we do not have direct voting. You could have a democratic vote but the person you vote on could make their electoral college vote a republican vote. Even so there are some rich people today that bribe commoners to vote the way they want them to vote. This is a big topic in today’s news but hasn’t changed much in the last ten
