The advantages might federalism have over a confederation or a unity system are federalism eliminated the disadvantages of both a confederation and a unity system. SO, in a confederation, the state or local government is extremely strong, but the national government or central government is weak. However, we are living in the Unites States of America now, so fifty states are independent and may have their own laws. So, I think it is very complex to me. About me, unitary system work better for us today because I think we just need one unified judicial system for all fifty states; the U.S don’t need to have many different laws from many different states, such as gun control law, marriage licensing law, trucking and motor carrier laws, etc. It just makes the citizens of a states are too confuse and separate with others.
