Sometimes it’s difficult to know if and how my presentations and offers of information and handouts are being received by the clients I see at the food banks I visit. Last week at Federal Way Food Bank, I was fortunate to interact with a regular client who gave me a little insight. K welcomed me warmly, and told me she hadn’t been able to come to the food bank but once a month since her car broke down in November. She continued to share how she was able to be very frugal and prepare tasty dishes for herself and her son with food she had stored and items shopped for at her infrequent trips to the supermarket. She went on to praise me and the great recipes she received during my demonstrations. She told me how she often makes the egg noodles
