It can be argued as we have discussed in class that a unitary system provides a more definitive and quicker response to citizens without such large bureaucratic channels. Crystal Lombardo of theNextGalaxy, provides that argument that unitary governments also are better at using tax money for infrastructure and citizen needs since there is a simpler government structure and fewer bureaucrats to pay. Therefore, the taxes of the citizens can more easily benefit the citizens themselves. In an analysis of this argument it can be said that when applying this to a federal government citizens’ taxes are not necessarily as well implemented due to the amount of government officials that need to be paid.
