Clayton, software-based services have a hardware side, not all software developers manufacture the equipment that runs their software. When banks purchase ATMs equipment (hardware and software), and it is accepted there is a transfer of ownership and liability. The transfer relieves the manufacturer or supplier from injury, economic or the otherwise when the equipment fails. When dealing with banks, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) covers the bank account that is associated with the card (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation – Law, (n.d.).
My bank will refund any transactions if I can prove that I did not make the purchase or withdraw. Now, part of the bank’s policy and procedure I have to complete and sign a complaint
