It seems that The Feast of Trumpets is a prophetic picture of the Rapture of the Church. But can we know when this momentous event takes place? Yeshua made it clear that no one knows the day and hour of His return. However, we can know when the time is near.

Scripture passages such as the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matt 25:1-13), and the Letter to the Church in Sardis (Revelation 3:1-3) let us know that those caught unaware at His return are the foolish and the spiritually. For them, His appearing will be like a thief in the night (see 1 Thessalonians 5:2). However, 1 Thessalonians 5:4-6 tells us that we are not in darkness that the day of the Lord's returning would overtake us like a thief! We can know when His return is near, and it is
