Post-Mosaic Traditions in the Feast of Tabernacles Celebration

During the "silent years", i.e. the gap of time between the Old Testament and New Testaments, the Jewish people made significant additions to the Feast of Tabernacles celebration. Two very important additions were the "water libation" and "illumination of the Temple" ceremonies. These ceremonies symbolized the outpouring of the Spirit and the glory of God’s presence with men, and Yeshua (Jesus) used both of them to declare his Deity.
