While fear is typically seen as a motivator there are always consequences both good and bad. We fear negative consequences, as this is how we are raised. When we do something bad and our parents yell at us we learn to fear that previous action. Then our parents use the famous words “don't do that or else…”. This “or else” is what we fear because the “or else,” is that we will be punished. Fear is used mostly to avoid incidents from happening again. This is a tactic used by anyone in power from our bosses, our parents, or even our teachers. We instill fear because it motivates us to do or not do something. An example of this is speaking out against politicians in power. This year there were more women who turned out to the women's march than at Trumps inauguration. There were 470,000 women who attended the march. The reason these women came out to march was to address to Trump that he has no right to talk down to women or to change rules that allow women their freedom. In this generation we live with our phones when we sleep, eat, in the classroom. With social media we’ve been able to discover different things with a few clicks on our phones or laptops. If we want information on something or someone we can get it in a matter of seconds. If people didn't know who Donald Trump was to begin with maybe these polls and protests would be a different story. Social Media and TV really swayed people's opinions, if we see a post on facebook or instagram about how good or bad he is then this will sway us. Most people hate Donald Trump because of the ignorant things he says on Twitter about women or other races. This causes outrage and fear because this man is supposed to run our country but on the sidelines he is bad mouthing other races or sexes.
