Fear Of Falling Sociology

This article was posted on central European journal of nursing and midwifery on January , 1 , 2017.It is a study based article done to interview older adults who experience the fear of falling to gain in insight into the history of falls, onset of the fear of falling and perceived consequences of falls. Participants were given notice via poster and a nurse during their regular visit. Participants were approached personally at their home and those who met the criteria was invited for interview. A total of 5 women and one man were selected to participate on the study. (Dingova, 2017)
The study was done face to face interview , containing mostly open ended questions. All interviewed separately in their home. The interview discovered areas under Background ,Fear of falling, Daily life /activities of daily living. All the participants had at list on fall and had injury like bone fracture and soft tissue injury. In additional all the volunteers are fear of falling . (Dingova, 2017)
The primary aim of this research was to describe how the fear of fall affects participants in their day to day life. Many participants said that they developed the fear of fall after experiencing the fall and more over many of them have friend or relatives of same age experienced bad falls. Many of them explained that they fear of falling and not being able to care for themselves and being problem for others. And they fear of living there home.one participant said that ; she want to stay in her home as long as she can ; there for she can do things in her way. In addition they have fear of not being able to get help if they fall. Some of the participants experience negative feelings like helplessness , uncertainty and social embarrassment. (Dingova,
