I believe that appeals to fear are the best motivational force. I say its the best motivational force because i f your scared of something you are not going to be anywhere around it. Fear is the best motivation because if you can get somebody scared enough they want do it anymore. I believe fear is the best motivational force because it forces them to think about their life choices. For example, "visibly shaken, all of the teens in the film vowed that they would rehabilitate their lives; they didn’t want to end up behind bars”. When they got scared it forced them to think about the choices they made in their lives and see how others are being affected by the choices they made in their life. In the sermon Sinners in The Hands Of a Angry God it makes the audience feel uncomfortable. In the background of sinners in the hands of a angry god it says “however, the sermon had a dramatic affect on his listeners, many of whom wept and moaned”. If he’s preaching real hard on them it makes them feel uncomfortable and it may make them change and repent of their sins. To conclude, I believe if you can keep them uncomfortable they will listen to what your saying. It makes them think about they need to change their ways.
