Fdm Reflection

1. Auction Chair- After attending and participating in the Auction this year, I realized how important it is to the overall FDM effort. Additionally, how much work and effort was put in behind the scenes that I was not aware of. The Auction is an integral part of the fundraising effort for FDM and with that, it is extremely important that it goes smoothly and makes as much money for the B+ foundation as possible. This year I developed such a passion for FDM and the B+ Foundation, that I think having a large part in making the Auction a success would be an amazing opportunity. With that said, I have some experience contacting different business and vendors around my hometown as I have been responsible multiple times for attaining goods to raffle …show more content…
Fundraising Chair- Obviously, Fundraising is probably the most important aspect of FDM. The need to fundraise effectively and creatively is pivotal to the future success and growth of FDM. With that said, I think that having the opportunity to chair the Fundraising Committee would really allow me to showcase my creativity and passion for this cause. As the President of Loyola Hall's RHA board this year, we needed to think of a lot of creative ways to try to get as much money as we could for FDM. Although there were a few times when our ideas didn't work, I think I really learned how to sort weak and strong fundraising ideas. Additionally, I did a lot of events in high school that required fundraising, through my work with the Commack Coalition of Caring and also as Team Captian for 2 years for Relay For …show more content…
Operations Coordinator- As the Operations Coordinator, I feel as if I would really serve as the Director's Right Hand Man. Running FDM is obviously an extremely stressful job, and so I think that allocating a person to be the Director's assistant is a really bright idea. With that, as Operations Coordinator, I would make sure to always listen to the Director and be really in tune with her needs. This would allow me to help her complete certain tasks and manage situations without explicit directions. I have served in a position similar to this before as I was the assistant to my mentor in high school when she organized both a 5K and memorial service for the victims of

Let me begin by thank you for agree to discuss the matter of dual reporting, its challenges and possible solutions. Because I came to Cornerstone after its creation, I can only make an educated guess as to the reasons the dual reporting system currently exists. I suspect the goal was to maintain adequate staffing while simultaneously providing a compromise for Oklahoma and Arkansas credit unions that might have feared elimination of a local presence. While perhaps necessary during the league’s formative months, the organization has evolved to the point that this system is no longer necessary or advisable.…

When I first went to the EMS info session I was excited, nervous and also very intimiated. I saw how packed the info session was and found out about the competitive application process. I will admit I was skeptical about my chances of being accepted but I gave it a try. When I recieved the email I was beyond happy because the EMTS mission statement about treating people with kindness and compassion resonated with me since I had a passion for volunteering and I pursued that in high school. But at the end of the email I was reminded of the costs of the class, it was over $1,000 that needed to be paid very shortly.…

Looking back over my notes and reflection journals, it is clear that my experience in FAML 160 was profoundly affected by the fact that I took FDREL 200 (The Eternal Family) during the same semester. The top ten things that I want to remember are a combination of things I learned and felt through both classes. 1- I want to remember the goal I set at the beginning of the semester to continue to work on the five things the Bishop challenged each family in our ward to do this year; which are to have daily personal and family prayer, to have daily personal and family scripture study, to have weekly Family Home Evening, to attend the Temple regularly, and to never miss a Sacrament Meeting. I also set a goal to spend more one-on-one time with my…
