A leader, according to John C. Maxwell is someone who “knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. As I look back on my own life, I see how my leadership skills have grown and how far I need to go to be a successful leader. Determined, driven, and goal- oriented, are just some of my many characteristics as a leader. Passiveness, stress, and worrying are my weakest point in my life. Demonstrating these point can be easily shown in this year’s FBLA community server project and my role as FBLA secretary.
First, FBLA community service project was a huge success. However, it was a huge stress. My chapter has around seventy-five members, these members helped very little with our chapter community service literacy drive. I was in charge of the operations, the social media, the correspondence, the counting, the publicity, and the preparation. I thought to myself “I can do this, no one else would do it right.” To say the

Our officer team delegated out the state project presentations equally when watching members present their state projects. My FBLA chapter is highly involved in the community, each program we had whether an etiquette presentation or membership drive, each task was delegated out properly. I put my lessons from my community service project to the test by fully including my officer team. As a sophomore in a typical senior position, I feel like I held my own, and successfully fulfilled my position to the best of my ability. Trusting others and asking for help when in need is still a struggle, however, the task is becoming easier each day.
In conclusion, John C. Maxwell’s quotation still doesn’t fit my life, however, I am striving each day to make it fit my life to eventually become a successful business leader. I know my way, I am on my path to going my way by attending this camp this summer, and I am learning to show my ways to others more and more each

Personal leadership / management style analysis During my first few weeks in the field experience course, I have noticed the complexity of leadership and management that is involved in the work field. Both, a leader and a manager are very important people in an organization. According to Collins (2001), managers and leaders “exist in different forms, roles and responsibilities”; as a result, Five Level Hierarchy exists, where level one has highly capable individuals, two is contributing team member, three is competent manager, four is an effective leader, and finally five is an executive. A great leader must be an effective communicator in order to lead a group of people in order to accomplish a goal or vision.…

Leadership Kathy Dunlap Bethel University MOD 310 April 24, 2017 Kameke Payne Leadership No one theory of leadership has ever been accepted by all, but the common thought of leadership is that it is an influence process, occurs within a group, involves goals, and attainment. Some people think leaders are born with a trait that innately makes them leaders, while others theorize that it is a characteristic of an individual, but we have learned that leaders are a product of their development and life experiences. Leaders are concerned with understanding people’s beliefs and gaining their commitment. They function without focusing on the opinions of others, which allows them to think of new ideas and motivate others to develop these…

The Accidental Leader: What to Do When You’re Suddenly in Charge Being a leader can happen to any one of us at any time. When we are given the role of being a leader it often paints a different image of what we look like to others based on the fact that we are in charge. We never know when a situation will arise that will call us to step up to the challenge of leading a group of a few people or a whole division of a company. The word leader can often make seem overwhelming to a lot of people but after reading Harvey Robbins’s and Michael Finley’s The Accidental Leader you no longer have to question what to do when you’re suddenly in charge.
