Fayetteville Police Incident

Sunday, April 9th,2017 at approximately 10:00 p.m., I Detective L. Donegain of the Fayetteville Police Department Homicide Unit received a phone call from Sergeant P. Orellano. I was advised of an overdose which occurred at 1933 Glenwick Drive. I was advised the victim was with a family member using Heroin and was later found by his son.
At approximately 10:37 p.m. I arrived at 1933 Gelnwick Drive and made contact with Officers on scene. I was advised by Officer Aushmarn the victims name is James Barton white male 9/20/1970. Officer Aushmarn briefed Detective J. Figueroa and I about what had occurred at the residence. I then checked the victim’s son’s room and noticed the victim lying on the floor.
