The everlasting battle through ages between good and evil is one the most common theme in literature. It sparks many questions ranging from what is good and what is bad, and why is something deemed as bad while other things as good. As every aspect of life have a certain side; it will always have an opposite one as well. Technically speaking without evil there would be no good. However what is considered to be good and bad. In the play The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus good and evil are distinguished. As in the Christianity, the devil is linked with evil and the God and angels are considered to be good. The play Faustus shows exactly that, viewing Lucifer as the king of the hell, and the angel as the voice of justice

While it is mostly true the morals of Christianity still determines what/which side is good and which one is evil. The classic post-apocalyptic examples are Dark Advent (1988) by Brian Hodge and The Stand (1978) by Stephen King. Both of these stories clearly divide people in to the two different groups of people one being good while the other evil. This leads to the classic battle between them. The Road by Cormac McCarthy is another that symbolizes the eternal fight between good and evil. Since the author focuses most of his attention to describe the environment, and interactions between characters, the visual appearance of the characters are also described masterfully. For example "An army in tennis shoes, tramping. Carrying three-foot lengths of pipe with leather wrappings. Lanyards at the wrist. Some of the pipes were threaded through with lengths of chain fitted at their ends with every manner of bludgeon. They clanked past, marching with a swaying gait like wind-up toys. Bearded, their breath smoking through their
