Workers who are exposed to high temperature and humidity or work in a hot environment are at risk of heat stress. Circulating blood to the skin and through sweating is the key to get rid of extra heat to balance a stable internal temperature. When the body is not able to cool itself, the body’s core temperature and heart rate increase and several heat-related illnesses could occur [1]. Appropriate clothing is encouraged to wear during working in extreme heat environment. However, protective clothing or equipment could severely impede heat exchange by sweating.
