Writing to inquire about the availability of several classrooms on a Saturday morning. The Champion Speech and Debate Team (approximately twenty high-school aged students and four adults) will be having their annual Christmas party. In the past, our party has been thrown at team member's homes, but given the increasing size of the team, we opted to have our party at the Presbyterian church. (The team captain goes there.) This is a great book to learn about how to be a public speaker and a Christian but not to lose your audience by talking too much about God or not enough. When someone says a free society in public speaking it opens, it appeals to a lot more people.…

I had no idea so much of what makes up everyday items came from pig parts. Your essay is informative and you chose a pretty interesting piece to cover. I also chose a Ted Talk for my essay and I think you nailed it overall with the way to detail the ways the author tries to persuade the audience. I like how you noticed her use of humor and how it can be used for an argument, when talking to the various manufacturers about the the products.…

It is difficult not to disagree with the stupendous amount of reverence that Abraham Lincoln presented in his oration in 1838. I say this because the vigilante justice that he warns the nation against so greatly is enticing, especially when there has been a grave injustice. To put it crudely, Lincoln would not be in favor of there being a Knight Crusader, or also know as Batman. This fictional comic book hero is in direct accordance with Lincoln’s warnings against mob rule and revenge. “The answer is simple.…

I was extremely excited to watch Brooklyn College’s rendition of Speech and Debate. The reasoning behind my excitement was that whilst reading the play written by Stephan Karam, I quickly realized that it’s humor and authenticity were aspects that I typically enjoy to a great extent in stories, whether that be in the form of a television show, movie, or play. I also felt that I was readily prepared to watch the show meticulously and focus on its acting and casting aspects. I chose the acting facet of the production to be the focal point of my review yet again because I understand that I could have pushed further and been more detail oriented when writing my previous review. Brooklyn College’s Speech and Debate had a small cast of four actors.…
