Romeo and Juliet The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, may be a difficult read but, Romeo and Juliet are in 14th century Verona, Italy where they become star-crossed lovers with an overwhelming fate, who make sheer accidents, and make their own life changing decisions. Romeo is a member of the Montague family and Juliet is a Capulet whose families are arch enemies. While Some may say that Romeo and Juliet's death was brought only by their fate all three reasons are applicable, Romeo and Juliet's death was brought by fate, accident, and by their own willfulness because a sheer accident was made by Friar John when he was sick, they made decisions like when Romeo drank the poison out of emotional instability instead of communicating to Friar Lawrence and Shakespeare wanted to create the impression that fate, accidents, willfulness caused the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Fate brought both love and death to Romeo and Juliet. The Chorus says in the Prologue, “From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, a pair of star-crossed lovers take their life…” (Shakespeare, 1. P .5-6) From the beginning the young lovers are cursed by their own fate. “ The ill-fated union of Romeo and Juliet will result in their (and others) deaths, but with this will come an end to the ancient feud between the Montagues and Capulets.”(enotes.com) This is why fate was …show more content…

1.) In the play Romeo and Juliet, the role of fate is stupendous, as it is implied in several of the situations throughout the play. It all begins with Romeo spotting Juliet, then falling head over heels at first sight, and due to the fact that their relationship was simply forbidden, it was bound to end one way or another in a black and white sort of manner. This is when things all begin to fall apart. Juliet's “death” is a fake, and Romeo discovers her, actually believing that she has truly passed away, and then he commits suicide.…

My project is a game board titled “The Test of Fate.” It is modeled after the game “Sorry!” in same aspects, but it also has a bit of a twist. When playing this game, players divide into two teams, the Montagues and the Capulets: “Two households, both alike in dignity (in fair Verona, where we lay our scene), from ancient grudge break to new mutiny,” (Prologue.1-3.7).…

So it was kind of like he said a curse and the universe made it come true. And the DBQ says “From forth the fatal loins of these two foes”("DBQ: Romeo and Juliet: Who's to Blame". Doc.…

Romeo and Juliet are both immature, as shown by their interpretation of their love. They believe that their first love is who they are meant to be with, and the fall in love far too quickly, in Act 1 Scene 4. This scene shows immaturity because both of them believe they are deeply in love, when they only had one moment together. Romeo is especially immature, in that he forgets Rosaline so quickly, and moves on without realising his mistake of falling in love to quickly. This immaturity leads to the proclaiming of their love for one another on the balcony, and eventually their hasty marriage, in Act 2 Scene 2 and Act 2 Scene 6.…
