First of all, Romeo and Juliet's fate plays a tragic fate in the play, therefore, this meaning that they suffered tragic deaths in the end. In lines 6-8 in the prologue it says that “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life, whose misadventured piteous overthrows doth with their death bury their parents' strife.” This meaning how in the end, Romeo and Juliet, who are the star-crossed lovers, killing themselves; also by their deaths, thus ended their parents rivalry between each other. In lines 183-185 it says how “Being vexed, a sea nourished with loving tears. What is it else? A madness most discreet, A choking gall, and a preserving sweet.” This means that Romeo and Juliet were driven to love each other, and they decided to keep it in secret due to their family rivalry and in the end when they took their lives they preserved thier love ending their parents rivalries. Also, fate is shown throughout the play in lines 45-45 in act 1 scene 2 “one fire burns out another’s burning. One pain is lessened by another’s anguish.” This meaning that one fire is like the families strife and the other being created is Romeo and Juliet's love for each other, and how the pain of the rivalries is lessened by their deaths.
