Two years later he passes away from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a disease commonly known as the Lou Gehrig 's disease. The 33rd Vice-President of the United States, Henry A. Wallace was also a victim of ALS. Jovan Belcher, a football player that died from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy(CTE). A disease that made him commit suicide. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy are two diseases that causes the brain to be injured and lead to death after experiencing the symptoms. Many athletes in boxing and football have a higher chance of getting concussions. Concussions have double in the last decade and an amount of 300,000 of high school football player are getting concussions. Concussions is when the head is hit hard that it causes injuries to the brain. Head Trauma is when the brain is not functioning normally after a hit in the head. The symptoms for concussions and head trauma are very similar. When having a concussions or head trauma, the human body starts to change in behavior such as having anxiety and apathy. They also experience blurred vision, nausea, poor balance, and dizziness. Girls usually have a higher chance of getting a concussion because they have a weaker head than boys. Many schools in the U.S have a test to figure out if there athletes have a concussions. The baseline test is used for boys to see if they had a concussion during a game and impact test is similar but used for girls. The sports association is trying to make the sport much safer by adding new rules and other different injuries that would affect the athlete later in life. Many athletes do not agree with the new rules. One rule that the NFL have changed is that athletes many only tackle each other below the shoulder. Athletes mention that this new rule may cause a certain amount of football player to lose their legs. Athlete also mention that they rather have a concussion than getting injured and losing their
