Fasting has a true medical and celebrity pedigree. Going back to early history, the ancient Greek Pythagoras (580-500 years. BC), Greek philosopher and mathematician, founder of the famous school of philosophy, systematically starved for 40 days, rightly believing that it increases the mental perception and creativity. He demanded strict 40-day fast on water alone from each of his numerous disciples and followers. Hippocrates (460-357 BC,) the physician who created the medical commandment: "Do no harm", was a strong supporter of moderation and treatment through fasting.

One of them, intermittent fasting, has become popular. Public figures and scientists have endorsed it. Celebrities like the actors Hugh Jackman and Benedict Cumberbatch have tried it and say it works for them. Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel claims that for the past two years he has followed an intermittent fasting program known as the 5:2 diet, which involves normal eating for five days and fasting for two. Stop and take a deep breath. You are starting a journey full of ups and downs. It will have with sharp turns in both directions. Your life is going to be turned upside down. Don't wait until you are ready before you start this. You will never be completely ready. Take the leap and start the practice of fasting. There are some eye-opening moments coming up for you; pleasant ones and some unpleasant ones too. Everyone’s experience with fasting is different. Enjoy the ride.
Prepare yourself for the challenges that you are going to encounter. There is no way around it; this will be a difficult process. It is worth the effort and worth your time. You may feel almost euphorically high one moment and the next moment you may feel as if you’ve fallen and you can't get up. You will be physically weak and in emotional pain. Make yourself ready for this and you will be less likely to stop fasting when the going gets
