If the cashier does not handle customers well, the company will do poorly. Organizational skills come in handy because the cashier needs to keep all orders straight. Computer skills are important because most cash registers are computerized. Lastly, math skills are needed in case the computer fails or makes an error you can correct it. However, there are times when some companies are similar in style. Employees to help improve efficiency can determine the similarities in customers and direct those calls to certain customer service people. If each service rep deals with one type of customer, they should be able to get through a lot of customer needs in one day. The drawback for this, is that the job could get boring. Dealing with the same type of customers all day, could make an employee bored with the job. A UPS driver is in a truck all day. They have to drive for hours and load boxes out of the truck. This can cause serious back, shoulder, and leg pain. The company should design seats for the trucks that are more comfortable for long-term drivers. Also the company should limit how long a truck can drive for a day. If the seats are more comfortable, the longer a person can sit in them before feeling the back pain and with a limit on hours a day, the more the person can stretch and move around. By addressing ergonomics, the company would be spending a lot of money designing the seats. Also the company would make less deliveries in a day, if the company limited the amount of driving time a driver could have. The problem is if the company fails to address ergonomics, the company could cause accident on the road or cause their employees to suffer pain, which would result in the employee quitting the job due to the
