Having a restaurant award people who have an obesity issue just shows you what our country has come to with this epidemic. Instead of trying to help the issue we are promoting it. For example, Blaire River was one of their top customers at Heart Attack Grille. At the age of 29, Blaire got pneumonia and ended up dying. They used his death to promote their restaurant saying, “ He has gotten the message out more with his death.” People that weigh over 350 pounds get to eat for free. One of their customers, Ernie Hart, is over 350 pounds, has been in a coma, had multiple heart surgeries, and a heart attack and still eats there, even when his cardiologist forbids it. (Video) When a reporter asked Jon Basso, owner of Heart Attack Grille, if he felt any remorse for what he was doing, he said, “It would be a moral to stop; we already have blood on our hands.” This statement just shows one of the reasons we have such an epidemic, we know it’s bad but we can’t
