The late 1930s were a time period of improvement.
Thesis: 1932 was a year with Presidential politics, a kidnapping, economical loans, scientific discoveries, the disappearance of 2 aviators, a world championship, olympic sports, higher revenues, costs of basic things were cheaper. Fashion trends were evolving.
In the year 1932, the Presidential Interregnum between Hoover's term and Roosevelt's lasted four months. Franklin Delano Roosevelt wasn't able to take office until March 4, 1933. There was a problem "during the interregnum between Hoover’s term and Roosevelt’s” (Callan 28). The problem was that the nation's’ banking system broke down and no one had the power to do anything about it.

Charles and Annie Lindbergh’s twenty-month-old child “had been abducted from his home in New Jersey” (Bondi 278). The police searched for the child in a five state area. The kidnapper contacted the Lindbergh family. Charles and the kidnapper met up at a cemetery with Dr. John Codon as an intermediary. An intermediary is a person who links two people to an arrangement. Lindbergh was a distance away, while Dr. Codon made contact with the kidnapper, who had an accent. About one month “after the first of the ransom notes was delivered and a portion of the ransom” was paid, Lindbergh's son’s body was found not so far from their home. In September, one of the ransom bills was “traced to gas station attendant, who provided the description of the man who had used it to purchase gasoline first car” (Bondi 278). The suspect was Bruno Hauptmann. Although the jury sentenced Hauptmann, there weren’t any guilty clues. “Hauptmann maintained his innocence until he was executed on April 3, 1936” (Bondi
