Farmville is a small southern college town with Longwood University located in the middle and with Hampden-Sydney College just a few miles away. The town of Farmville’s population, excluding students, is about 4,000 and including both Longwood and Hampden-Sydney students the figure nearly doubles to about 9,000. Carlos Holland, the manager at this location, tries to specifically target families but has no choice but to target local Longwood and Hampton-Sydney students. One great way Holland and the rest of his staff targets the college students is by advertising must have deals on social media. Specifically targeting families requires more thought and creativity.
