Farming In Sub-Saharan Africa

According to the United Nations Food & Agriculture Organization, the world produces enough food to provide every person with 2,700 calories a day (Agriculture & Famine). Although it is estimated that every person should be properly nourished each day, nearly a quarter of the Sub-Saharan Africa population is malnourished and or in famine. Most experts include that increasing the global distribution of food would be much too complex on a global scale. In turn, increasing local supplies in Africa is vital. An estimated 200 million hectares of uncultivated land in Sub-Saharan Africa are not in use, thus the lack of food distribution on a more local scale.
The technology in farming has played a major role in the production of goods for Africans.
