I’ve researched this career because I have been interested in farming since I was little. One day when I was feeding a baby calf and I looked into her eyes, I knew then I wanted a career with farming. I decided to research this career and it makes me want to do this career even more. After researching the career of farmers and farm managers, I have decided to pursue this career. Concerning typical daily tasks, farmers and farm managers are require to do plenty of work everyday. Farmers are required to use information about market, weather, and a farm size to make decisions. For example, they’ll need to know how to test soil and recycle water the proper way. In High School they can take agriculture 1, 2, and 3. Courses can be taken at a community college for a two-year program in business management. Most farmers and farm managers have years of work experience. It’s helpful if they join clubs like National FFA Organization, or 4-H(“Preparation”1). The easy part for me is I already work on a farm and I know how to fertilize the seed, fix things that are mechanic. I don’t like having to find a community college that’ll have a two-year program for business and to be close enough to a farm to work on. I know by the time I graduate i’ll find …show more content…
They can take some advanced courses like advanced placement(AP) and International Baccalaureate(IB). If farmers do well in these they can receive college credit for them. These also are good on applications(“Helpful High School”1). I know that my school provides classes and courses such as biology, zoology, agriculture 1,2,3 and FFA club. It will be hard to take an advanced course, like Horticulture, and Agronomy. My school does not have these. I can overcome these difficult courses by taking an online
