Farm Ranch Career

The career as a Farm, Ranch, and Ag manager, falls into the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources cluster, and has lots to do with it. As a farm, ranch, and/or agricultural manager, there are many different jobs/duties that would need to be completed as time went on. Determining how to raise crops or livestock is a big part of your everyday job, and others would be ensure farm equipment are up to date, supervise all crop production, record financial reports, serve as a sales agent, and to maintain farm facilities. Those are just a few, but this person would also have to adapt to the different weather conditions that came their way and to purchase necessary supplies needed around the facility. To start off, a person would need at least a high school diploma. Eventually those people would not necessarily have to get a bachelor's degree, but it is highly recommended. A Bachelor's degree in Agribusinesses, Soil and Crop Management, or Agricultural System Management are the types of education a person would need. Some of the colleges that would be useful to go to would be Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, Northeast Community College, Southeast Community College, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture is located in Curtis, Nebraska, and the yearly expense would be approximately $11,403, while Northeast Community College is located in Norfolk, Nebraska, and costs around $11,287 a year. Southeast Community College Area is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, and would cost you about $11,036 a year to attend, and last but not least is the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and would cost you about about a whopping $16,868 a year to
