My paper is about Monsanto’s lawsuits against farmers. I think that Monsanto is still a problem for many family farms in America. To solve this problem I think that the people that are involved in approving the lawsuits need actually look at the situation instead of the money. A majority of the problem is that Monsanto is a huge company that just keeps getting bigger with a ton of money behind it and the farmers that they are up against are just small family farms that don’t have the money to fight the lawsuits that are thrown at them. Usually the farmers just pay the fine instead of fighting the lawsuits because it is cheaper to just pay the fine than it is to stand up and try to prove that you didn’t do anything wrong.…

“Get big or get out” shook our nation in the 1970s as the ‘agribusiness’ boom spread in sweeping waves. Planting from “fence row to fence row” dandelions was replaced by corn and soybeans. Hands were replaced with complicated machines, time was replaced with fertilizers and varied crops by pesticides. Soil and worms were degraded to dust. Cows grazing in open pasture were replaced by concentrated-animal feedlot operations (CAFOs).…

The role, power and size of the Federal Government has changed many times between the Civil War and 1930. As we consider what influenced these changes we have to take in account who made up the government and what were their intentions. If we step back and take a look at the Federal Government, we can see that the size and power rose and fell throughout the years. This is due to the fact that when things change there are always people or groups that oppose them and eventually change is needed in the other direction to balance things out. Shortly after the Civil War, the Nation entered into a time that was later named the Reconstruction Era.…
