Both documents are focus on the reader and not the writer. Two documents use “user-centered communication” method to give instruction to the people who will be playing the board game. When I was reading through two instructions, there are no author’s personal thoughts and feelings appear on both documents.

Both documents stay with a semi-formal tone throughout. They also remain consistency by using personal pronouns like “You” and “Yours” to address readers. There is no overly informal tone appear in both documents.

Both documents are free of implied bias and offensive language. In both instructions, the author does not mention gender and use sexist pronouns. There are no bias regardless of cultural, racial, or national background, sexual or religious orientation, age, or physical condition. Language is also appropriate.

There’s no needless jargon appear in both documents. The phrases and terms they used can understood by general audience. Professional terms are avoided when giving instruction.

Both documents are free of redundancy and unnecessary repetition. When introducing the rules of the game, all information is necessary and does not says the same thing twice.
