Britta yawned steadily as she, Gall and Vig crested the last rise of the Wolf’s Bane. She felt a surge of emotions as the path they followed spilled down the slopes of the mountains onto the plains of Cazidor. Before them lay her homeland, childhood home, and yet, no longer a safe haven. Now merely a stop on some quest that she neither asked for nor wanted. Gall turned, and the old man stood in his path, licking his lips haphazardly. With impatience, Gall dug out a silver crown and slapped into the man’s hand. “That is the last of the generosity you’ll get from me.” The old man nodded his head and grinned.
Something about the old man annoyed him. He grabbed the front of the man’s shirt. The coin clattered to the ground. “One final detail, no one is to know we are here. Do you understand?” Once again the old man nodded. Gall released him and the old man scooped up his coin and disappeared from

“I am going on ahead to the Citadel and make some arrangements. Join me in the morning at the Steinhoff’s Tavern.”
Vig whipped around. “I thought we were going to wait here for the girl. Are you sure that is wise?”
Gall shrugged his shoulders. “Time is against us, my friend. If we don’t secure the Moonstone before Faline does, she will be able to control events. “
“What if she is waiting for
