She is from Kenya, Africa. But her parents are from Somalia, Africa. From what I could tell, she seems like a really nice and outgoing young girl. Her life back in Kenya was pretty normal, she said. The only thing that she struggled was when her dad passed away when she was eight years old. She also said that in Africa, she would have to go in and out of the refugee camp for almost all her life time until she came to America. The camp that she would stay at is called Dadaab. This camp is located in Garissa County, Kenya. She would travel from the camp to her home and back, to get her paperwork done to come to America.
Finally, coming to America. The day finally came! Year 2014. She landed in Idaho. Then she moved to Fort Morgan, CO. She loves living in a small town. When she arrived to America, she could not believe her eyes! Everything around her was amazing. Something she has never seen before! The land of “ freedom”. She felt nervous and weird.
