Flaggs most recent book talks about how a sixty year old woman finding out who she really is (Kazek). The characters in this book relate to Flagg herself and other friends. Fannie made the main character a sixty year old former Miss Alabama just like herself (Luesse). Flagg has written many other books that have similar effects and that show her personality in them.
