Famoso Menu Analysis

Improved Essays
Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria, located on 1380 Commercial Drive, serves up rustic, and affordable Neapolitan style Italian food, while providing a quiet getaway from the heavy traffic of Commercial Drive. The menu offers up many Italian staples, such as a vast assortment of thin crust pizzas, a modest selection of pastas, and a variety of fire-bread sandwiches. Their dishes are all centered around the unique Campania tomato, a special tomato that grows in the volcanic soil at the base of the infamous Mount Vesuvius. The volcanic soil gives the tomatoes interesting properties, such as a deeper hue of red, a firmer and less acidic pulp, softer skin, and a sweet flavour that lingers on the tongue. To close your meal, the restaurant also offers a variety of classic gelato flavours, made from butterfat, in true Italian fashion, as well as several fat free sorbet options. Famoso provides a relatively cheaper alternative to Italian food along The Drive, but their food is nothing to write home about; the biggest drawback to their food is the quality of their ingredients, as well as their lack of innovation with said ingredients. It is apparent that the chefs have little freedom to play with the menu and experiment …show more content…
The food served is quite static and uninteresting, and the flavour profiles of the food are pedestrian. The price for the food is quite fair, which offers service to a specific demographic of people, looking for “authentic” Italian food on the Drive at a relatively cheaper price. Famoso almost acts as the counterpart to the slightly more up-class and expensive Marcello restaurant, across the street. For anyone keen on visiting Famoso I would recommend sticking to the dessert menu, as their gelato, is truly the best item on the menu. Despite the food being a major disappointment, I will still give Famoso 3 out of 5 stars, as the service and the atmosphere were far better than most restaurants I

After the quality of the food is considered, the next logical thing to look at is how it is being served. The service is another important factor when eating out because it sets the stage of how the meal will go. If the employees are rude or disrespectful it will ruin the rest of the night because even after the issue is solved the customer will still be fuming after the encounter. On the other hand if the service is wonderful the customer can then focus on the quality of the food. It is already clear that Chick-fil-A’s food is excellent, so it is important to analyze their service to see if it is up to par with similar restaurants and if it is unique.…

My group, consisting of Deja Calvin, Jasmine Begley, Raphael Genato, Marina Thacker, Courtney Carr, Ralph Tamakloe, and Glory Chuma, plans to organize a clothes drive through the school. The clothes we collect will go to a homeless shelter for use during the winter months. The purpose of the drive is to directly help the homeless population in Virginia Beach when help is most needed. Before the idea was formed, I knew that Goodwill takes donations for the less fortunate. Also, in our school National Honor Society has a can food drive early in the school year, and NJROTC holds a toy drive near Christmas.…

A Taste of Great Quality There are thousands of different restaurants across the country where people can either wait five minutes for their lunch in a drive-thru lane but pay for rude service and processed food, and some where formal attire is required and food and beverages are so expensive they break the bank. What if there was a restaurant that offered both? A restaurant where service is top-of- the-line, food is warm and fresh, and the setting is elegant but inexpensive? A restaurant like this is not easy to find but thankfully, it does exist.…

Every time I walk into Texas Roadhouse my eyes wonder over to where the rolls and their special cinnamon butter waiting to be consumed by the customer. I hear country music playing in the background, and feel peanuts crumbling under my feet like leaves on a beautiful autumn day. Without looking at the menu, my mind is already preparing my stomach for the flavorful food that I am about to encounter. Texas Roadhouse gives the Newark population somewhere local to get a great steak while getting a significate value. From personal experience most of the other steakhouses will get very pricey for a family of five making it difficult to dine at their restaurant while living on a tight budget.…

People usually go to a restaurant not only for the convenience; the most important element is that the restaurant has delicious food, which they cannot make it at home; also other restaurant cannot make that taste. I mean it should be has some more special than other restaurant, such as, the service very well or the special environment as so on. For me, the most elements adjust a restaurant it should be they pick up the fresh ingredients used in the food. That is the crucial for customers; they don’t want to send money payment for a bad or worse food.…
