Family System Map Analysis

The family system map is a map that helps us to know our relationship with our families, friends, our peers and also relation to our co-workers. For this family system mapping, I will analyze my family because we are a big family, my parents, three of us within the same age group and my two younger siblings. This map will help me to have a better understanding where I am located on the map with the used to both adaptability continuum and cohesion continuum. Analyzing this map will also help me to think about other, important people in my life as well.

In my family my mom is the one who is in charge of everything in our home, she set the rules, and we have to follow it; for example, my mom takes care of the bills and other important things in our house. My mom set our duty depends on what is there for us to do and there are sometimes we get to do whatever we want as long as we set a limit for ourselves. Most likely the three oldest get to do most of the chores at home which also depend on our schedule sometimes if we are at home we have other important things to do elsewhere. My little sister gets to do the minor jobs like cleaning her room. When it come to decision-making it can be very complicated with my family, we have a lot of protracted negotiations on one subject for example if we want to go somewhere my dad will be ok with it, but my mom would not be ok about it which sometimes lead to argument and longer negotiation. It also depends on where we are going and what time we are going to be home, at times if I am going somewhere and I don't know where I am going my sister have to go to me or vice versa. The
