To me, I feel that this ‘score’ does not reflect my families overall dedication to doing things together due me not having an average ‘score’ of other families. If I was to put this in perspective it would be a sixty percent which would put me under average (70% average), but thinking to myself, I am sure that my family does more things together than most families. To me this ‘score’ is inaccurate without having other scores to compare it to. This does not show my overall feelings of how important family rituals are. To me family rituals are a great time for spending time with those that you love. Often when someone spends time with people in general, they get to know them a little better each time, gaining a connection with them. I truly feel that when someone partakes in a family ritual they water the seed to help the plants grow, increasing their family connection with those around them. One thing that it does lead to is a great connectedness of cohesion. We all feel comfortable and know that everyone is there for each other while still having the satisfaction of being forced to spend time with them and become too enmeshed. I do think that because of how successful this event has been for so long, that my family does not plan to make any sudden changes to the planning or details of our annual event. It will always remain a great appropriate event where anyone from babies, to grandparents, to pets can remain pleased and satisfied. I do however believe that if any change does take place, it would be to a new location where we could fit more people as well as keep our major events
