One is not guaranteed a certain job and an employer should not try to persuade a person to work for them. Employers and employees are tasked with independently settling matters regarding their salary when they are on leave. according to the California’s Employment Development Department about 90% of claims filed for paid leave in California are for new parents, this number would go down if employees discussed means of leave then the number of people filing claims for family leave will go down. Many first time parents do not know how to deal with the issues of applying for family leave because this is a fairly new act, as it is a little over two decades old.
